Unbelievable

Well, I can't believe my Ruby is a week away from being 14 months old. How does time go by so fast? I mean did time ever move this quickly before? I don't understand it for sure. I wanted to write down a few things about her right now that are just so fun to me.
Ruby is walking, and well at that. She has been walking since a week after her birthday. She wanted to walk so desperately before but couldn't quite trust herself. It was cute when she finally began to let go. I thought she looked like a baby orangutan Her arms were over her head and she shifted from side to side, quite the cute little lovey.
Now she is developing her vocabulary. She can say mommy, her attempt at queenie is meemee for now, and she can say Pappa, for my step-dad, Jay. She hasn't mustered tauntie very well, but she can say book, she loves to be read to, and she can say Hello, sounds more like hewwo. She says puppy for our dog Rosie, and she can say Duckie, when we are at my dads, sounds more like duppy, but I think they are about the sweetest sounds I have ever heard.
I love to see my little Ruby light up. She glows and oh my goodness when she laughs, it is the most wonderful sound I have truly EVER heard.
For now, I will let that be all there is, but until next time...Be well!

She will be one soon

I find myself doing lots of prep work for this little child who is about to be one. One, how did we get here so fast? Its so true what they say, "they grow up so fast". I mean never in my life has time gone by so quickly.

Ruby Lea will be a year old on September 7, 2008. She has grown so much this year, I mean its unreal what they go through their first year. She is teething right now which is NO fun for any of us. She is getting teeth number 7 and 8. They have so far been the worst, leaving her with severe diaper rash and the constant runny nose. Teething tablets and tylenol are just enough to take the edge off. I wish I could take that pain away, and you know what is worse, this is nothing as to what she will one day feel. Man, I don't look forward to those days either.

She is getting ready to walk, she is moving all about, but has not let go of anything yet, completely to take steps on her own, but she is so cute moving about. I think this is one of those phases where you learn to trust yourself, and she isn't quite there yet. I can't wait to see her toddle around with her cute little short legs and diaper bottom. It really is a sweet look.

Well, I guess thats it for now.

Spaghetti for the first time

She had spaghetti for the first time last night, and what a treat that was for her, and a nightmare for me! She loved it.
